Show STATE MENTAL HOSPITAL BOARD HOLDS MEETING Provo, Jan. 15. The board of offl cers of the State Mental hospital mot Thursday evening and elected officers as follows: President, Governor William Wil-liam Spry; vice president. J. W. Jewkes; state auditor Dr. D. H. Calder was reappointed medical superintendent. super-intendent. The ofQce of secretary was abolished, and this work will now be doue by Miss Tenie Miller, stenographer stenog-rapher at the hospital. At tho next meeting of the officers. Dr. Calder will recommend the ap-polntmentoof ap-polntmentoof . the following to succeed themselves: W. R. H. Paxman, steward; Mrs. Mary A. McLalu. matron; ma-tron; E. Homer, chief engineer; James Boyden. farmer. Dr. F. W. Cllft will be assistant medical superintendent. The following claims were allowed: Salaries, $2,287.53; Improvements and repairs, $2,383.92; additions and other Improvements, $5,517.92. On November 30 190S, there were ICG male patients in the hospital and IS 4 women, making a total of 350. On December 31 thero were 167 men and 182 women, making a total of 349. |
