Show FUNERAL OF LORIN . FARR WILL BE ATTENDED BY HEAD OF THE CHURCH. Among the Speakers Will Be Joseph F. Smith and Fred J. tflesel, Old Friends of Deceased. Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, funeral fun-eral services over tho remains of Hon. Lorin Farr will bo held at the Ogden Tabernacle. All arrangements have buen completed by those lu charge. During today many frk-nds from all parts of the rlty and county passed by tho bier and for the last time in mortality mor-tality viewed the countenance of him who, for over sixty years, has been one of tho most prominent cltlzons, not only of tho city and county, but ct the entire state. The wealth of beautiful floral tributes, trib-utes, tho expressions of love and esteem es-teem " both uttered and silently expressed ex-pressed by the hosts of friends, only In a slight degree evidenced tho sorrow sor-row fi.dt in the unexpected demise of Mr. Farr. His mortal form peacefully i eposes in a magnificent Bolid mahogany, mahog-any, electro-coppei-llned metallic can-ket, can-ket, trimmed with massive silver mountings. Bishop E. A. Olsen. of the Fourth ward, will preside at the funeral services. ser-vices. President Joseph F. Smith of tho Latter-Day Saints church, In which church Mr. Farr was ono of tho oldest members, will bo one of the speakers. Others who will speak will bo Apostle George A. Smith, President L. W. Shurtliff, Elders Joseph Parry, Moses Thatcher of Logan, Ben E. Rich, president pres-ident of the Eastern States mission; Patriarch David McKay and Hon. P. J. Kiesel. Prof. Joseph Ballantyno will have charge of the following musical part of tho services: Hymn. "He Was Beloved By All," Tabernaclo Choir. Duet and chorus, "Thou Art tho Way," Misses Maud Belnnp, Myrtle Ualllngcr and choir. Solo and chorus, "Calvary," Miss Ruby Geddls and choir. Solo and chorus, "O, Love Devine," Mr. Caleb Marriott and choir. Solo and chorus, "There is a Green Hill Far Away," Miss Maud Belnap am', choir. Tho opening prayer will bo pronounced pro-nounced by President C. F. Mlddleton and the benediction by Bishop Chas. W. Nlbley. The remains of Mr. Farr will lie In state at the home of his son, Ezra Farr, HO 21st street, this evening and Sunday morning until 12 o'clock, noon, at which hour the casket will bo closed to all who are not relatives. Undertaker Larkin, who has charge of tho funeral arrangements, announces an-nounces that the cortege will leavetho homo promptly at 1:30 Sunday for'the Tabernacle. Tho west half of the church has been reserved for the Immediate Im-mediate family and other relatives of the deceased. Interment will bo In the Ogden City cemetery. |
