Show NUNN MUST SERVE A LIFE SENTENCE Pueblo. Colo . Jan. 16. Cleveland Nunn. who made a written confession that he had murdered Thutman Walker Wal-ker to secure, possession of his saddle sad-dle and watch, was found guilty of murder in the first degree and sentenced sen-tenced to life imprisonment. Under instructions of the court, the Jury could not bring in a verdict fixing tho penalty at death because there was no direct evidence of the crime. Nunn and Walker were traveling overland from Manzanola. Colo., to Wyoming, and while Walker was sleeping in their camp near this city one night, Nunn, according to the confession, fired a bullet into Walker's head, killing kill-ing him Instantly. J;le was arrested soon after the discovery of the deal body. |
