Show MUSICAL GARDEN PARTY GIfe BY MARIAM CHAPTER, 0. E. SPLENDID EVENT OF THE SEA' t The fifth anniversary of the Miriam Mir-iam Chapter. No 14, Order of the Eastern Star, will undoubtedly bo a memorial event In the history of this splendid chapter, for on Tuesday Tues-day evening. Jan. 31. the ladles entertained en-tertained members and invited guests at a musical garden party, one of the loveliest Indoor parties given In the life or the chapter. Tho Masonic temple was converted into a garden !of tho brightest flowers, grasses and foliage, and from above Japanese and Chinese lanterns cast a delicate rosy glow At the north end of tho hall fir trees were arranged In Just the proper style to vie with mother nature and from branches were suspended sus-pended smaller Japanese lanterns. At either end of tho hall, other small trees, laden with the tiny pink cherry blossoms, brought forth exclamations ex-clamations of delight In the center of the room a gtird n plot in the form of a star was quite the loveliest bit of symbolic decoration in the hall The tenter of the star was a pool of water shaded by a circle of ferns while each of the five poinu held greenery and flowers symbolic oi the Miriam chapter. EVENING'S ENTERTAINMENT In tho south end of the Masonic room one lung table had been placed.
