Show COAL SHORTAGE IN THIS CITY Ogden is without coal. Hundreds of homes are compelled to accept a sack of fuel, while waiting impatiently impatient-ly for word from the coal yards. But the local federal fuel board is unable to help the community because, in reply to a notice in Saturday's Standard, calling on those without fuel to answer a number of questions, so far the board has received only telephone replies. The appeal for coal must be in writing so that when tho men associated with Dr. B. M. Conroy on this fuel problem, go before tho state board and the railroads they can say: "Wo havo here in writing the positive posi-tive evidence of a coal famine in Ogden. Og-den. This is not hearsay. We must havo relief." And that Is the only way by which Ogden can escape a winter of distress, made so by a wholly inadequate coal supply. |
