Show duly mm STAMP AGENTS WASHINGTON, Nov. 21. Regulations Regula-tions under which war savings stamps will be sold by duly appointed agents, beginning December ?,, were announced an-nounced today by Secretary McAdoo and Frank A. Vandorllp, chairman of tho national war savings committee. Two classes of agents aro established estab-lished those who may hold not more than $1,000 of stamps for certificates at ono timo and who must pay cash for their holdings, and those who may hold more than $1,000 worth and may obtaln thjmion asBlgnmentbydeposit- ing as security Liberty bonds or certificates cer-tificates of indebtedness to the amount of tho selling value of the stamps. Most chain stores, railroad companies com-panies nnd big associations will fall in the second class and small stores and agents acting independently will be placed in the first class. All agents must be authorized by tho secretary of the treasury, upon application through postoffices, banks or state and local war savings committees now being organized. No cut price sales will be permitted. oo |
