Show SUFFRAGISTS WANT TO END HUNGER STRIKE SALT LAKE, Nov. 22. The following follow-ing telegram was recbived today by Mrs. Elizabeth Jenkins from Kather-Ine Kather-Ine Morey, secretary of tho woman's party at Washington: "Desperately urgent have telegrams and letters sent immediately president, presi-dent, cabinet members, Commissioners Commission-ers Brownlow and Gardner. Superln tendents Sinkham and Whltaker, demanding de-manding they end hunger strike by treating suffragists as political prisoners, pris-oners, as they are treated in all civilized civi-lized countries, not as criminals. This simple request will be granted if wo have sufficient outside protest." The telegram refers to a hunger strike by suffragists including Mrs. R. B. Quay and Mrs. C. T. Robertson of Salt Lake. |
