Columbus Rexall climbed steadily from $2, which was the opening bid, j up to ?2.-17M; nt the close, and is pre- dieted to reach $3 within two weeks. & Howell went up to 26 cents from 24 I 3 cents at the opening, and closed strong. West Toledo opened strong, i but weakened at the close of the first t call, only to regain all lost strength I and more on the second open board. Michigan Utah was inclined to ad- I vance and the sales were fair. South I Hecla took another sput, opening at $1.50 and selling 1S00 shares of stock1 on the way up to $1.67V. which was the high mark of the day. Tar Baby , j is still holding the ground gained on yesterday's advance, and the sales were good. Alta-Germanla raised from 3 cent bid up to 4 cents and ex- changed 12.000 shares of stock. Prices hardened in the hog market today owing chiefly chief-ly to active- demand from small packers pack-ers and to the fact that arrivals fell short of the number -expected.
