Show SHOWER FOR BRIDE. , Miss Esther Clark was hostess to a gay company of friends at her home, 339 Thirtieth street, on Wednesday evening last, when a delightfully planned plan-ned shower party given In honor of her sister, Mrs. -W. J. Browne, who is a bride of July 23. Mrs. Browne has been with the Loader Millinery company for the past two years and has n large circle of friends in social and business life. Mr. Browne is a well-known electrioian of Ogden and has, likewise, a long list of well-wishing well-wishing friends. The lawn at the Clark home was beautifully arranged and lighted for the affair of Wednesday evening, the colored electric lights within vari-shaded vari-shaded Japanese lanterns being an especially pretty feature. Vocal and instrumental music, by Miss Verna Rhodes and Miss Mary Bernie, dancing and games with other socinl diversions rounded out the evening eve-ning until the hour for serving refreshments re-freshments arrived. Prettily laid tables, ta-bles, decorated with sweet peas, were arranged on the lawn and a tempting menu was served. The opening of parcels and the usual us-ual wishing over each gift, together with the gaiety aroused by sayngs witty, wise and otherwise, closed the happy evening at the Clark homo. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received by the bride, protty testimonials testi-monials from her many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Browne will leave on Sunday, August 5, for an extended visit in Denver. The bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Clark, and sister. Miss Esther Clark, will accompany them to Cheyenne where the family party will visit with the brother, Alex Clark, who is in training in tho U. S. Medical department, hospital corps, at Fort D. A. Russell and who will leave about September first for the battle-front battle-front in France. Mr. and Mrs. Browne will return to Ogden to make their "home following their visit in Denver.
