The Tigers finally won a game from tho Oaks today to-day by rallying In the eighth Inning and scoring three runs off Pitcher Goodbred. The final score was 4 to 2. Fromme, last year's leaguo leading hurler, was the man who stopped tho ferocious Oaks. He materially helped the victory by getting a couple of hits himself. ' The Oaks started out as if they were going to gobble up everything in sight, but after the first inning Fromme had them tamed. In the opening frame MIddleton singled, but was forced at second by Lane, The latter stole second and scored on Murphy's Mur-phy's triple to left. Murphy came in on a single by Miller. The Oaks came near scoring several other times, but could not quite make it. In the second MItze go't as far as third, but died there. MIddleton and Murphy got on in the third, but the former was doubled at second and the latter was out stealing. Lane fanned for the third out with two on the fifth inning. In the eighth inning Lane and Murphy singled, but could not score. The Tigers got their first run in the seventh inning. Daley singled to center cen-ter and got to third when Stovall doubled to left. He scored on Callahan's Calla-han's sacrifice fly to Lane. Stovall was out trying to score on Simon's infield in-field single. Vernon rescued the apparently ap-parently lost game in the next Inning. Fromme started the doings with a single. Glelchmanrt ran for Fromme, but was caught between second and third when Vaughn hit to Murphy. Vaughn took second.
