Show OFFENDERS I THE nin COURT Only three misdemeanor cases were on the municipal court calendar this morning and they were dispatched in record time. Abraham Smith was sentenced sen-tenced to Berve ten days in jail or to pay a $10 fine for drunkenness and disturbing the peace. He was arrested by Patrolman James Hearn on lower Twenty-fifth street and was said to have been using vile language within the hearing of passersby. John Van Der Venter, an alleged drunk, forfeited ?5 and Walter Clark entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of having stolen goods in his possession. He was arrested in Salt Lake City and then brought lo Ogden Og-den by Sergeant Fitzgerald, it being alleged that he acted as a "fence" for Benny Coffman, who is nqw serving a 90-day jail sentence for stealing two raincoats from the W. H Wright & Sons' store about two weeks ago. nn |
