Show FREIGHT CREWS ON UNION PACIFIC INCREASING The freight trainmen on the Wyoming Wyom-ing division of the Union Pacific railroad rail-road will draw large pay checks this month, according to Trainmaster A. W. McDuffie of tho Eighth and Ninth districts, who returned home this morning from an inspection trip. The big pay will be due to the almost unprecedented un-precedented freight business with which the Union Pacific has been favored. In addition to this evidence ot good times, the 'number of train crews in Mr. McDuffle's district have been Increased In-creased fifty per cent over the same month laBt year. On the eighth district, dis-trict, 13 crews aro now running bo-tween bo-tween Evanston and Green JRtlver, whilo In the 9th district, 12 crews are running out of Ogden, 3 are handling work trains on tho Castle Rock hill, and 2 crewB are working on the Park City branch. The work on the new double track near Castlo Rock is progressing, according ac-cording to Trainmaster McDuffie although al-though the shortage of labor Is still keenly felt no |
