Show OLO FOLKS ENJOYING EXCURSION TO SIT LIKE The old folks of Weber and Box Elder counties went to Salt Yake this morning on special trains over the Oregon Short Line and Salt Lake Ogden railroad to pass the day on the temple grounds as guests of the Mormon Mor-mon church old folks committee of Salt Lako county. rPIln r T7I1J -.,! t.. -k nw -ljvj.v JLiUUUl UUUUljr (I1UUCC1U passed though the Ogden terminal, some 600 strong and with approxira ately 100 attendants, shortly after 9 o'clock on a special O. S. L. train ot eight cars, which had stopped, after taking on the Brigham City crowd at Willard, Parry and the Utah Hot Springs. With Traveling Passenger Agent D. W. Newton of the Oregon Short Line in charge of its operation, the Ogden special moved out of tho Union station sta-tion at 9:35 o'clock, with approximate-ly approximate-ly 1000 old folks and 150 attendants on board. The train was of thirteen coaches and one baggage car, and was well equipped to take care of the aged excursionists. The people of the Hooper, Clinton, Roy, Uintah and oth or wards of Weber stake outside of Ogden city, went to Salt Lake on a Bamberger train at 9 o'clock. The Old Folks were to be entertained enter-tained with a splendid program of music and speeches and with a fine luncheon in Salt Lake and were to return to their homes early in the evening. The Industrial school band, led by Prof. E. W. Nichols, accompanied the Ogden people to Salt Lake, to take part in the program of the day. |
