Show ALBERT MESS SHOT IN A MWPY HOUSE Soda Springs, Idaho, June 2G. Grace Blair, who conducts a resort about a milo from this city shot and killed Albert Al-bert Hess, 25 years of age, a sheep-herder sheep-herder of Farmlngton, Utah, at an early hour this morning. Trouble arose between Hess and the woman, it is said, over the matter of change for a $20 bill, and Hess is alleged to have attacked her and given her a severe beating until he was stopped by the bullet from the woman's wom-an's gun, which ended his life. The woman Is in a hospital, in a serious condition. No charge has been made against her. A coroner's jury, which heard the story of tho trouble this afternoon, mado a finding to the effect that the killing was justifiable. Hess is said to have been well connected con-nected at Farmlngton. His parents have been notified of the killing. Albert Hess was the son of Albert C. Hess, a business man of Farmlngton. The young man was born In Farming-ton Farming-ton and had resided there until a few years ago. Since his departure he had herded sheep and done other kinds of labor. He was tho nephew of County Commlsioner Arthur Hess of Davis county and J. W- Hess, a well-known business man of Farming-ton. Farming-ton. Tho young man's father left Farmlngton Farm-lngton last night for Soda Springs to bring the body back for burial. In addition ad-dition to his parents, the young man is survived by ten brothers and sisters. |
