The following official communication commu-nication was issued today: Russian war theatre: All the Russian Rus-sian attempts to shako our east Ga-1 Ga-1 lei an front remain without result. Yesterday the enemy, employing a large quantity of artillery munitions, directed his main attacks against our front on tho middle Stripa river. He was repulsed everywhere. Our troops co-operated In flank attacks on the Buczacz bridgehead and in the region south of Zoloczo. Tho village of Zebrow, twenty kilometers kilo-meters (about twelve and a half miles) south of Zolocze. was taken by storm and eleven officers and 1900 men and three machine guns were captured. In Volhynia our forces repulsed several sev-eral attacks. Near Nowo Alexlhlec the Russians, In stubborn hand-to-hand fighting, were repulsed from the trenches of infantry regiment No. S5. Near Nowo Porjajew the enemy, on September 14, succeeded in advancing advanc-ing to points on the western bank of tho Ikwa, but was repulsed the following fol-lowing day to the east bank of the river, suffering heavy losses under the flanking fire of our artillery. |
