oo BOYS ATTEMPT TO TARE BICYCLES Lewis Mr-Hugh and Dewey Benson. 17-year-old boys, were taken into custody cus-tody last night after an exciting chase through the business district by Pa trolman Charles Manzel According to the officer he saw the boys take-two take-two bicycles from in front of the Al hambra theatre, and, suspecting that the wheels were being stolen, he mounted another and gae chase, The boys noted the pursuit and increased their speed and were not caught until un-til they reached a point on Washington Washing-ton avenue, between Twentieth and Twenty-first streets They were handcuffed and taken to the joliee station. The bos claim they had attempted only a lark and had intended to return re-turn the wheels before the show was out. oo
