Show MINER WINS SUIT. Price, Nov. 4. After being on trial for a full week the case of Albert Dimick of Payson against the Utah 1 "21 0cn!n,anv reached a termination at o:30 o-clock this evening, when the jury brought in a verdict for plaintiff in the sum of $5000. While working in the mine for the fuel company at Castlegato in July. 1913, a piece of coal fell from the roof, striking Dimick on the head. He fell and struck the back of his head on a coal track rail, and he blames this injury for the deafness which has come upon him. He sued for $20,000 and was offered $1500 to settle without with-out suit. The jury was out twenty hours. Dimick was represented by P. T Farnsworth of Salt Lake, R. A. Porter Por-ter of Payson and Stanley Price of this city; the fuel company by M. P. Braffet, Ferdinand Ericksen and Attorney At-torney Riter of Salt Lake. |
