Show Society TO ENTER SCHOOL AT BOSTON. Mrs. Daisy McGaw, chief clerk ot the general delivery department of the Ogden postofflce, has returned Irom the cast, where she went for purposes of pleasure and to enroll Ver daughter, Dorothy MoGaw, aa a student .in a. Bchool of dramatic art and expression, at Boston. "While away Mrs. McGaw visited Chicago. Chi-cago. New York, Detroit, Niagara-Buffalo, Niagara-Buffalo, Boston and other cities, with her daughter, before the latter entered the Boston school. FROM IDAHO. Parley McLean and Joseph Wiggill ot Fairviow, Idaho, are visiting in Ogen for a -few days. HISTORICAL SOCIETY. The T-Iistorical society will meet at the home of Mrs. W. H. Meal, 902 Twenty-fourth street tomorrow afternoon after-noon at 2:30 o'clock when Dr. Goorge F Snoddy of the department of psychology psy-chology of the Utah- university will lecture. Each member of the club Is entitled to bring a guests. ON COAST TRIP. G. H. Marshall and bride, formerly Mi6s Robinson of Freedom. Wyo., have arrived In Ogden en route to California, Cali-fornia, where they will visit the fairs. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall will bo accompanied ac-companied ,by the groom's raotho". Mrs. G. S. Marshall, sister Margaret and brothers, "Wilmer and Parke. The party will be goue several weeks. oo OLD-TIME SOCIAL AND DANCE. The "Weber stake presidency, high council, bishops and auxiliary stake boards will greet the members of the "Weber stake and friends from other stakes In the reception room at tho Berthana social hall, this evening, having been named as a reception committee, by tho stake amusement committee. The occasion -will be the annual old-time social and dance of the "Weber stake and an invitation Is extended to the people of Weber county in general to be prosont to onjoy the good time that has been planned. In speaking of the party today, M. Charles Woods, chairman of tho stake amusement committee, stated that It would be of an entirely informal nature, na-ture, so that the question of dress would be no barrier to anyone who desirod to join with the stake and ward officers in their annual party. Tho program of dances, he said, had been arranged so as to give the old and young people an opportunity of dancing according to tho rulos of tho days in which tbey learned tho art and as a special foature, a number of young girls from the Second ward are to 3vo an exhibition of the stately state-ly "Minuet." 1 Tho relief society otako board, as the refreshment committee, has planned plan-ned an appropriate luncheon for the guests, to be served in the banquet room and liquid refreshments will he served at the booth adjoining the ballroom. |
