Show w BIDS OPENED ON UNCUT TIMBER The district forester at Ogden, Utah, opened bids November 2 on 8fl,000,000 board feet of timber in the Wasatch national forest, Utah. This timber is located on the watershed of Black's Fork, a tributary of Green River. The Standard Timber company of Evanston, Wyo., which has been operating oper-ating in the region for the past three years, was the successful bidder. The timber Is principally lodgepole pine and will be manufactured into railroad rail-road cross ties and mine timbers. The rates bid are 10 cents each for railroad rail-road ties and 1-2 cent per linear foot for mine timbers. oo |
