Show BODY OF VETERAN CONDUCTOR FOUND Salt Lake, Nov. 30. Mrs. George Nold of 516 South Second West street received telegraphic word last night from Grand Junction, Colo., that her husband's body was lying there at an undertaker s establishment await- j ing her order for its disposition According to a dispatch received by The Tribune last night from Grand Junction Nold was found dead early yesterday morning with his wrists slashed and a bullet hole through his body. "Baldy" Nold. as he was called was well known years ago as a conductor con-ductor of the Rio Grande Western, j In recent years he worked as a conductor con-ductor on the Bingham & Garfield. vr.s an employe of tho Mexican National Na-tional railroad in Mexico, and since he left the warring republic two yeara ago had been to Central America. Two months ago he went from Salt Lake to Arkansas because of promise of employment there. Arriving too late, the position promised him having been filled, be returned to Grand Junction and had been there since. Recently he wrote Mrs. Nold that he was no: well and was suffering from a pain in his head For some years past be has suffered from heart trouble, according ac-cording to Mrs Nold Nold was a native of Albany, N Y Ho was 60 years of age, and came west when a young man He and the wife who survives him were married mar-ried in Provo twenty-six years ago, when Nold was a conductor on the Rio Grande Western. In addition to bis wife, he is survived by two sons, George and Albert M Nold of this city, and one daughter, Mrs. II. R. Sadd of Bingham. |
