Ogden Stake presided at the anninl conference of the Sixth ward which was held yesterday in four sessions. At each session, the ward chape was filled to its capacity and tho conference confer-ence was declared to have been high ly successful in every respect The program was conducted by Bishop O M Sanderson. At the 9 a. m. priesthood meeting, the speakers were Joseph E. Evans, Samuel G. Dye and Albert Stratford The same speakers addressed a general gen-eral meeting at 10 o'clock, at which excellent music was furnished by the ward choir and several soloists. At 2 pm. the annual instruction meeting meet-ing for the officers of the priesthood quorums and ward auxiliary associations associa-tions was held Tn addition to valuable valu-able advice given those present by President JTvans and other members of the high council, Samuel G. Dye gave an address on the subject of Tnrffnl Tpnrhlnz." that Droved of especial interest The closing meeting was held at 7 p. m. and proved the best attended of tho day, as those, present include both officers und members of the ward The Speakers were Elijah Lar-kin Lar-kin Samuel G. Dye President T B. Evans. Bishop O M. Sanderson and counselors, Thomas Clark and George S. Burnham The general, stake and ward authorities were present by tho ward clerk and were unanimously sustained sus-tained b the congregation. An unusually pleasing feature of the meeting was a reading by Norma Sears Evans, several solos by Mrs. David Da-vid B. Foulger, and several selections by the choir. n |
