The injured man Is a carpenter car-penter and was employed on tho building. He was staiu-ing near the ar.h-pit hole and, not noticing its close proximity, inadvertently stepped Into it and had an unbroken fall to the basement floor, alighting flat on his back. Fellow workmen summoned summon-ed a physician and the ambulance and ho was taken to the Dee hospital hospi-tal His injuries consisted of a brokeu rib and a badly strained laek Today he aK reported to bo improving im-proving and it was not thought that his injuries would have serious results.
