Show BREAKING UP OF A OAK DEALING IN OPIUM Charlie Wing, a Chinese, was arrested ar-rested at 10:30 p m yesterday at his store on Twenty fifth street by Sergeant O H. Mohlman and Patrolman Patrol-man Jerry Kelllher. The arrest was a sequel to the taking into custody of E. S Mont and Edwin Payne. Saturday Sat-urday night and Wing was booked on a charge of selling opium He was later released on payment of 5150 bail. Prior to the arrest the marked coin game was worked on the Chinese Chi-nese with success and the police aft-c aft-c rward searched the store and found a two-pound can of opium hidden undor a pillow on a cot used by the proprietor of the store The capture of Mon', Payne and Wing is believed by the police to have broken up a well established traffic in opium. |
