Show POWER COMPANIES IN BITTER WAR Boise Idaho, Dec. 30. The electric power war that la "being waged In this city has reached a climax todav when the Idaho Power & Light company, formerly the Beaver River Power company, cut off the electricity it wa furnishing the Idaho-Oregon Light & Power company because the latter failed to pay the former S60.00U alleged al-leged to be due for the service since last May. This action on the part of tho Idaho Power company greatly crippled the Idaho-Oregon which no't only furnishes electrical energy for lighting purposes, but to the electric lines. Appeal was made by the Idaho-Oregon Idaho-Oregon company to Judge Dietrich of the federal court who issued a restraining re-straining order against that company from further discontinuing its services servi-ces to the Idaho-Oregon. The latter company also filed a complaint with Hie public utilities commission alleging alleg-ing that it had an agreement with tho Idaho Power company to serve It with electricity while two of its plant, were being repaired and that the rate charged by that company is exhorbl-tant exhorbl-tant The two companies are rivals In the southwestern Idaho field and have been at swords points since the Idaho Power company entered the field ex cluslvoly held up to that time by the j Idaho-Oregon, i |
