Henderson ol the United states geo logical survey, was $7,200,000. which is $691,370 lss than the record yield Ol 17,891,870 in 1912 The 1913 output, out-put, however, is abovp the yearly average av-erage for the last decade The sll ver production fell from 206.4iP oun ces to 164.800 ounces. A nominal Quantity of lead and copper was produced. pro-duced. The Homstake mine and mills were operated, continuously, through ! out the year, but with a considerably decreased output. During the year twenty stamps were added to the 1000 stamp equipment. A considerable tonnage was mined by "glory holing and by caving above the 7o0-foot level. The Golden Reward company completed com-pleted a seventy-flve-ton roaster ai Its Astoria shaft early In the year, and experimented with the roasting of the sulphide or "blue" ores before i cyanidatlon. The l.undberg, Dorr & Wilson mill was closed in August having been operated since 1904 The Buxton and Bonanza mines of this company were also closed. The Mogul Mo-gul company was occupied In build-1 ng a new mill at the mine at Terry i to replace the old mill at Pluma. burned in March. 1912.
