Show WORK OF PROVO COMMERCIAL CLUB. Provo. Jan. 14 The annual meeting meet-ing of the Com mercial club of Provo was held here tonight President Preston G. Peterson rend his annual report and reviewed In a commendatory commendat-ory manner the work done by the club during the year 1913. He recommended among other things that the club resume its membership mem-bership in the Utah Development league and that an effort be made to obtain closer relations with the Women's Wo-men's Home Industry association. He also spoke of the social work of the organization and said that in 1914 everyone should co-operate to bring about better relations from a business busi-ness and civic standpoint. It was decided that during 1914 the chairmen of the various committees of the club shall be required to attend meetings of the club regularly and to submit monthly reports of the work they have done. The officers who were re-elected last night were; President Preston G. Peterson, Secretary Henry Nuttall and Treasurer Joseph T. Farrer The newely elected officers were: J. C. Beal, who will take the place of W. H. Brereton as vie president, and 1 the directors as follows: Jacob role-man, role-man, Fera Decker. T. E. Smith, I. II Masters and J II McEwah. Secretary Henry Nuttall reported cash on hand January 10, 1913, $82-49; $82-49; receipts during the year. $3982.09. The disbursements were $3953.18, and the cash on hand Januarv in, 1014, was $111.23. There is $1047.82 cash on hand in the building fund and there is due the building fund from the general fund 1 14 79.79. The total assets of the club are valued at 18730.30. The membership is 169. |
