News that neces sary financing for some of the large railroads was being arranged satisfac torily and unconfirmed reports that various large corporations were com ing to terms with the government gave a stimulus to the upward move ment. There were Indications of investment in-vestment buying in all sections of the list. Such selling as the market had to contend with came from profession al sources in the way of proflt-tak ing.
