Show UTAH CM ELECT I J. PARKER AS NET The annual meeting of the Utah Canners association was held last fight at the Weber club and thfl fol lowing officers were elected: President, W. J. Parker of Ogden; vice president, James Anderson of Morgan. The directors elected are J. E. Wright, and Gage Redman of Ogden, and Richard Stringham of Woods Cross. W. E. Herrlngton of Ogden was re-elected secretary and treasurer. At the meeting plans were made for a tour by a number of the prominent canners of the state, through the east era states in connection with their attendance at the National Canners convention which is to be held in Baltimore next month. Included in the cities which they expect to visit are Omaha, St. Louis, New York, Duf-falo, Duf-falo, Baltimore, Chicago, Philadelphia. Washington, Kansas City and Denver. Among those who expect to attend the convention and take part in the tour are: William Craig, W. J. Parker, H G. Adams, Gage Rodman. A L. Brewer, H. L. Herrington and W. H. Williams, all of Ogden; John L Pierce of Brigham; Richard String-ham String-ham of Woods Cross: J. U. Hopkins of St Anthony, Idaho. Luc-ian Ray and E. H. Callahan of Salt Lake, and James G M. Barnes of Kaysville. 1 The meetings which the will at tend are those of the National Can ners, Canned Goods and Dried Fruit Brokers and the Canning Machinery and Supplies associations. The meeting last night closed with a banquet which was participated in by representatives of 24 canneries and a number of other men prominently interested In the canning industry in this locality. nn |
