Show Offl WOMEN Biff. TKE STORM TODAY I We hesitate Is the compliment to be given to the women of Ogden, or shall we give It to Wright's Store? Probably we should divide the com- pliment" equally, for the Ogden women wo-men were not afraid to brave this j morning's snow storm in order to obtain the garments wh!ch Wrights had imported for their "Blue Ribbon White Sale " At any rate it Is a fact that as early ear-ly as nine o'clock this morning the , Second Floor of Wright's Store presented pre-sented an animated scene. To one who went to that floor from the Btreet which was cold and dull It i was really surprising to step from the elevator on to the brilliantly lighted second floor, where at least a hundred hund-red women were eagerly selecting the dainty bits of lingerie from the great billows of white which covered most of the floor. The average citizen has little conception con-ception of the planning which an event of this kind requires First the market is watched closely and when fine cottons are to be had at the least price, the purchase of the fabric Is I made A mill Is then selected from the better ones In the United States and when their slack period arrives, they are engaged to make the fabric into garments. Before the garments are made, the stles must be decided j and this requires careful investigation investiga-tion as to advance style indications. That this Blue Ribbon event at I Wrights is a decided success is evidenced evi-denced by the expressions of pleasure which were heard from those who attended this morning. One lady visiting vis-iting here from New York said, "I have attended White Sales at Maceys and at Wanamakers. and while they have a larger stock and great j -o-dsI am sure that your values are just as good your styles just as dainty and the service to your customers cus-tomers was splendid." The sale continues for several days. Advertisement. |
