Colonel Lawrence Greene is a well-known member or the governor's staff and one of the leading busi-ness busi-ness men of the city He is not a politician and has always declined to become a candidate for any po-lltical po-lltical office He has been frequently B mentioned a6 a possible mayoralty B candidate. Governor Spry is said to B favor either Attorney General Barnes or Colonel Greene for the congres- 1 slonal nomination. Judge Armstrong and Judge Loof-bourow Loof-bourow have given little considera-- considera-- tTon to the proposal that they become be-come candidates for congress. Nevertheless Never-theless their names are frequently mentoinod by local poltlcians in connection con-nection with the nomination.
