Almost complete returns from the election in the Seventh New Jersev congres-slonal congres-slonal district today showed that Dow H. Drukker, Republican, defeat-ed defeat-ed James O'Byrne, Democrat, by a plurality of more than 5000 votes. O'Byrne had beon strongly backed by President Wilson. Drukker making his campaign against the new tariff law. Drukker received 10,620 voteB and O'Byrne 5240 while Demarest, Socialist, Social-ist, was a close third with 5053. Whitehead, Progressive, received only 611 votes. In 1912 Rooeevelt carred the district by 891 votes. Democratic leaders today refused to accept the result as a repudiation of the administration.'
