USANCE The city board of health held a special meeting yesterday and in addition ad-dition to routine matters, discussed plans for the general cleaning up of the city and preparations to keep It clean, so that the fly pest might not bo nearly as serious as in former years. A decision was reached to order or-der all liver' stable owners and oth-. oth-. er owners of horses or other live stock within the city limits' to keep all manure In covered receptacles, those receptacles to be arranged for immediately, so that the breeding of flies from this source will be considerably consid-erably lessened. A general cleanup of the residence, and business district is also requested request-ed by the board and the health office will do all that Is possible to assist in this work. Sanitary Inspector George Shorten reported today that the home of Louise Browning, 2l3S Adams avenue, had been quarantined for smallpox and that the quarantine had been removed re-moved from the home of Glen Hart, 293fi King avenue, which has been under quarantine for scarlet fever.
