Show uu MISSOULA IS PLAYING TODAY ( The Missoula baseball club, which played last week at Butte, began a seven-game series with McCloskey's men at Glenwood park today at 3:30 p. m. Up to the lime tho team left their headquarters, Manager Cliff Blankon-shlp Blankon-shlp had not decided who he would pitch against the local team, but Manager Man-ager McCloskoy announced his intention inten-tion of trying out Ed Erickson, the stalwart slab artist recently secured from the Sioux City club of the Western West-ern league. McCIoskcy's men havo been breaking break-ing a little to tho bad in the past, but they have hopeB of taking the biggest big-gest share of the games in tbelr scries with Missoula, and they are simply aching for a wallop at the Salt Lake team. Blankenshlp has a well organized team this season. Nearly all of his men have been playing remarkable ball, and It is not unlikely that the series will be a mighty tight one. At the present time McCloskey has a team of good ball toseers, but he is in dire need of two or three sluggers like Huelsman of Helena. oo |
