White, who wore appointed delegates to the Dry Farm convention- to bo held at Colorado Colo-rado Springs and Denver, reported to tho board their 'inability to attend In their stead, T. F. Coombs and Charles Klmber were appointed. Por tho National Conservation congress, J. C. Wheelont-and J. II. Burton wero appointed delegates to reproscnt Box Elder. Two bids for road spriuklors were considered, and the bid of Studebakor Bros, to furnish .two sprinklers for $GC0 each was, accepted. Tho sprlnk-lers sprlnk-lers will be of the latest type, 550-gal-Ion steel tank wagonB, with gasoline pump attachmenL Treasurer Richards reported that $2,00u taxes wero duo from the "Utah Smelting company, tho plant of which company is now boing lemovcd out of the county Sheriff Olsen and Attorney At-torney Lowe wero Instructed to proceed pro-ceed to collect the overdue taxes im- mediately. Road Commissioner P. N ricrco reported re-ported roads and bridges in many parts of tho county in need ot repairs, having mado 'his regular fall visit about the county. The work of repairs re-pairs on these roads and bridges will commence as, soon as possible. |
