Show CHILDREN IN LIBRARY ROOMS The children's room In the Public library has been a center of Interest this week. The number of children seeking and drawing from tho new books has been a marked lncrcaeo over the past week. The eagerness with which tho children look over and draw out tho now book has revealed re-vealed tho existence of a desire among the little ones for good wholesome whole-some child literature. Could the two gcntlomcn who mado these new books posslblo "for the children of Ogden see how their gifts are appreciated, they would feel more than repaid Tho children's periodicals are rapidly rap-idly coming in and aro being widely read This new list of children's and young folks' magazines and papers is a large ono and tho publications aro being read with interest The library has for some time held the children's room open Sunday afternoons aft-ernoons It has become imperative that for the present at least the child-Ton's child-Ton's room should, be closed on Sundays Sun-days as Is the custom In most public libraries The board will groatly regret re-gret If this Is compelled to bocomo a permanent requirement, though it la the UBunl rule of .free libraries to have only the reading room for adults, open The children's room will be closed Sunday Plans nrf now in contemplation to make the general reading room much moro attractive and comfortable for the fall and winter season. |
