Show QJOCIFIY LUNCHEON Mrs. D J Sheshan entertained yesterday yes-terday afternoon in complimont to Mrs. Geo P McCabe, who will soon return to Washington, D. C, at a luncheon at tho Virginia. Covers wore laid for forty guests. The parlors par-lors and dTning room were regally beautiful in whlto and gold. Jardinieres, Jardin-ieres, tall vases and bowls of white asters and golden glow daintily commingled com-mingled with ferns and smllax wero arranged with rare taste and tho per fect appointments of tho long tables were further enhanced by silver candelabra can-delabra with yellow candles and dainty yollow Bhades, handpalnted place cards In white and gold, the color scheme also prevailing in the elaborate menu. Elegant gowns, jewels and large picturo hats worn hy the ladies were an added touch to the pretty scono A beautiful handpalnted vase was the gift to the guest of honor and other prizes wore awarded to Miss May Loo Rowan, Mrs. A. Baker of Grand Junction. Colorado, which occurred at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Douglas home Bishop Aivin A-. Beosley of Snlt Lake, an uncle of the' bride performing the nuptial ceremony, during which Ford's orchestra softly played th-i beautiful strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march. The spacious parlois were beautifully decorated with white asters and ferns and the dining room in nlnk. Tho bride wore a handsome gown of eream crcpo de meteor trimmed with point laco and was given away by her father, James H Douglas. Following the wedding service thc wedding supper was served, tho bride and groom leaving at G o'clock for Grand Junction where they will raako their home. On Thursday evening tho girls of tho F. M N. club wore entertained by Miss Edith Wadman at her home, 1927 Steele avenue. During the evening even-ing a dainty luncheon was served and solos and piano selections wero rendered ren-dered by members. Mrs. Rowan and daughter. Miss May l.ce Rowan of Dallns, Texas, are tho guests of Mrs. Joseph Cries. They will remain for six Weeks. Mrs. Ed Shaw and son, Edwin, of Lawrence. Kansas, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. D Smith and Mrs. James Mordrtnnt, assisted by Mrs. Fred Williams, delightfully en tertalned the captain, musician and twenty-four guards of the Ladles of the Maccabees of the World. The Jolly crowd gathered to bid farewell to their captain, Mrs. Id- Holland, who leaves shortly to make her homo in Oregon. A guessing contest was a feature of the evening's entertainment and af forded much merriment. Prizes wero won by Mrs. Holland, Mr3. Russell and Mrs. Ludwlg.
