Show SALESMAN SAYS girl i::; mistaken ANDERSON, Ind , April 13. William Wil-liam C. Barnes, a salesman of Washington, Wash-ington, with headquarters in Dubuque, la., who Is on. trial here charged with forcing himself into the sleeping car berth of Miss Cecil Hill, adopted daughter of Professor William Hill, of the University of Chicago, while on a t,raln that passed through here the night of January 20, last, took tho stand today and made a general denial of Miss Hill's charges. He admitted that he was on the train and had occupied berth No. C. He contended, however, that If MSsa Hill thought he was her assailant it was a case of mistaken identity. Before the state rcstod this morning morn-ing membors of the train crew wero on the stand and testified that Barnea was on the train and occupied berth No. C. |
