Show LIQUOR BILL IS NOW READY The joint liquor committee this morning succeeded In smoothing out the last kinks In the tangled liquor bill and tho measure was presontod as a perfected piece of HtornUire to the house this afternoon as Bill No. 199. No action will bo taken on tho bill today to-day and It is probable that tho legislature legisla-ture will not turn its attention to tho documet until Monday. Only a few changes were made In tho first draft of the bill, but a few new clauses of a minor nature were added. While in the original draft It was statod that the manufacture of liquor should not be forblddon in dry territory, the rate of taxation was fixed fix-ed for breweries hi all pails of tho stato during the revision. It was decided de-cided that a brewery manufacturing 5,000 barrels of beor or less per year shall be assessed $250 per annum by the state. Breweries making over 5,-000 5,-000 barrels and not exceeding 25,000 barrels shall be taxed $500; for 50,-000 50,-000 barrels, $750, and for over 50,000 and not exceeding 75,000 barrels $,-000. $,-000. All breweries turning out more than 75,000 barrels will be taxed ?1,250. The liquor bill as finally decided upon up-on will bo given lo tho printer late tills afternoon and wll bo in type by Monday. Representative Farnley apparently stands for the abolition of the Inheritance Inherit-ance tax now In vogue In Utah, as be presented a bill In the house this afternoon calling for nn amendment of tho present law. At present all properties valued in excess of $10,000 Is taxed B per cent In the transference transfer-ence by the Btate to the heirs. The Furnloy bill calls for a taxation of only 1 per cent on properties valued at more than $20,000. The fiTSt $20.-000 $20.-000 is to be exempt of all Inheritance Inherit-ance taxation. Senator Folk presented a bill In tho senate this afternoon limiting the tlm'ate .cost of the proposed capltol building to $1,500,000. The significance signifi-cance of such n bill will probably be made known by tho Democratic senator sen-ator at a later time. Representative Tobias haB presented a bill to abolish all bucket shops in the state.
