Show Welfare Board Will Aid In Draft Work The Cache county public welfare department will cooperate with the county selective service board in determining dependency status of draft registrants, N. D. Salisbury, draft board chairman announced Wednesday. The announcement followed a meeting of representatives of the two agencies. Welfare department workers agreed to present factual currrent information to the board to aid the selective service group in selecting or def ering registrants. The welfare department will make investigations in al cases referred to it by the selective service board, whether or not the family in question is known to the welfare department, under authority author-ity granted by the state public welfare department, Mr. Salisbury said. Public welfare case workers wlil seek to advise families so they can rearrange their affairs to relieve registrants of draft age from dependency de-pendency responsibilities without causing undue sacrifice, Mr. Salisbury Salis-bury said. |
