Show Eight Srnithfield Students Study Marketing Eight Smithrield farm youngsters young-sters are this summer completing a course of study which gives them a chance to learn more about ways of marketing Utah farm produce profitably and at the same time to win cash scholarships, schol-arships, the National Junior Vegetable Veg-etable Growers Association, reports. re-ports. The students are: Ruby Krickson. Mary Jean Erickson, Wayne Geary, Royce Lundberg, Verla Hillyard, Richard 'Perkins, Rover Thornley and Leon West, all of SmiShfield. They are competing for A $500 grand national prize as well as for a $250 regional award and 3 individual prizes of $100 each al-loted al-loted to the Western area from a $5000 scholarship fund established by the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea company, for the National Junior Vegetable Growers association, associa-tion, the association announced. The program is being administered administer-ed by A. L. Stark, Utah Agricultural Agricultur-al Extension Service horticultural college expenses of the winner or to purchase farm equipment. |
