Show COUNTY ILL OPEN SCHOOLS SEPTEMBER 14 Opening Date Set Ahead from September. 7 Secretaries Secre-taries Named for High Schools. Cache county school opening was tentatively set for September 14, following a meeting Thursday of the Cache county school board, county agricultural leaders and canning processors, Superintendent J. W. Kirkbride, announced today. The annual beet harvest vacation will begin October 16 and contine for two weeks, he said. However, .if three weeks are necessary to complete sugar beet harvesting, five Saturdays will be added to the school calendar and staggered throughout the year. This will give us a full term of 176 days, Mr. Kirkbride said. Blanche Campbell of Providence, who has been employed by the county school office during the summer, was named secretary at the South Cache high school, succeeding suc-ceeding Mrs. Claris Chugg, who resigned re-signed to accept a government position. ' Cloteele Riggs, of Nibley, was appointed ap-pointed secretary of the North Cache high school, replacing Mrs. Ada Johnson Chatterton, who resigned re-signed at the end of the 1942 school term. The school opening and harvest vactions, were arranged to give every possible cooperation in order to insure harvest of all crops in the county, Mr. Kirkbride explained. ex-plained.
