Show SOUTH MILFORD Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bowen attended the 50th wedding anniversary anni-versary reception, given July 17 at Kanosh, in honor of Mrs. Bow-en's Bow-en's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Watts. It was held in the recreation recrea-tion hall, which was profusely decorated with flowers and gold color. The same color scheme prevailed pre-vailed at the long lace-covered table. A huge gold wedding cake filled the center. Of the 175 friends and relatives seated at the table, 32 were present at the wedding wed-ding 50 year3 ago. All six of their children are living and they' and all members of their families were present. Mr. and Mj-s. Wlatts are well known and prominent promi-nent pioneers of Millard county. Mrs. Watts is a most talented speaker and Mr. Watts is widely known over the state in music circles by his playing and the numbers he has written. Hosts of friends and relatives came from California, Idaho and Utah to honor this couple. Mrs. Horace Corbridge entertained enter-tained the Social Hour club Thursday. Thurs-day. A short business meeting was held and reports from various committee leaders were given and bills allowed. Plans were made to enter a table of flowers in the Legion Auxiliary Flower show in Milford.. It was also decided de-cided for each member to enter two jars of home canned fruit, jelly or vegetables in the fair exhibit ex-hibit at Beaver, as the community communi-ty project. Our quilt last year won first prizes in the county fair at Milford. The Wostess served a dainty two-course luncheon to 16 members and the following visitors: Mrs. Tanner and IMrs. Horton from town and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Rollins. Mrs. Lusa Weber will give the book review August 1, at the club house. Ralph Bowen, a teacher from Salt Lake City, is visiting his uncle, Leonard Bowen, and family. Girls of our community who are away visiting include Dorothy Johansen in MinersvHe, Lenora Bowen in Kanosh, Barbara Williams Wil-liams in Price and Barbara Johansen Johan-sen in Salt Lake City. 'Billie Nichols and wife of Salt Lake City were calling on South Milford friends on their honeymoon honey-moon trip. The mother, sisters and brother of Mrs. William Baker spent Sunday Sun-day with her, celebrating her birthday. From Beaver were Mrs. Agnes Hutchings, William Hutchings, Hutch-ings, Mrs. J. Rollins, Mrs. Elmer Marshall, Mrs. A. B. Cline and Mrs. George Cockett and Mrs. W. T. Royal of Alhambra, California. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McKnight and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer are .in Salt Lake City, where the men are receiving medical attention. The Nimble Thimblers 4-H club met at the home of Mrs. Bowen, their leader. They are making shoe and laundry bags; having finished their first article.
