Show PRESENT REALITY OF SPIRITUAL QUALITIES EMPHASISED For The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Bos-ton, Massachusetts and its 2500 branches, the subject of the Lesson-Sermon, Lesson-Sermon, Sunday, March 27 is "Reality." "Real-ity." When the sinner becomes dissatisfied dissatis-fied with wrong doing and suffering humanity loses all faith in material methods of overcoming disease and pain, the uselessness of these phases of human existence is recognized and the qualities of the infinite God Life, Truth and Love appear. Since, according to Genesis 1:26, men was made in the image and likeness like-ness of God, he must be good, harmonious har-monious and perfect; reflecting only godlike qualities. This fact is furth- v er brought out by the following passage pas-sage from the Bible, which forms a part of Sunday's Lesson Sermon: "God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good" (Gen. 1:31). A correlative passage from page 331 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, Ed-dy, corroborates the foregoing Scrip-tual Scrip-tual declarations: "The Scriptures imply that God is All-in-all. From this it follows that nothing possesses possess-es reality nor existence except the divine Mind and His idea. Everything in God's universe expresses Him. He fills all space, and it is impossible to conceive of such omnipotence and individuality in-dividuality except as infinite Spirit of Mind. Hence all is Spirit and spiritual." spirit-ual." o |
