Show 1 WILLING TO WORK Milford nten flooded the railroad employment offices in response re-sponse to the call for men issued last week end by the Union Pacific. Paci-fic. Their iagerness for jobs, hard day labor at day labor wages, is a living contradiction to the croakers who say that unemployment unemploy-ment and the resultant idleness are going to make "bums" and "reds" of the American workers. JMany of the men who signed up for the work of section labor-on; labor-on; are capable of doing skilled labor. Nevertheless, they were willing to take hard work unsuitable to' their skill rather than to be without work at all. There is nothing of the "bum" and "red" in such men- They are willing to work. |
