Show Contracts To Be Let For Roads In the next two weeks the state road commission expects to award additional contracts, now being advertised, ad-vertised, and totaling around $325,-000. $325,-000. They will supply employment for hundreds of workmen. This contract covers oiling of 13 miles from Minersville to Milford, and from the Beaver county line on the 91 highway to Buckhorn flats, as well as from Winn hollow to Cedar City in Iron county. Seven contracts will be awarded, most of which are in the southern part of the state. The project include bids on 80 miles of application of oil-gravel mulch to the state road system, as a part of this year's road betterment program, and these in turn call attention at-tention to the fact that dustless roads --' either paved or treated with oil-gravel oil-gravel mulch will by the end of this year extend unbroken from the Idaho line to Elsinore, and with but few breaks to the Arizona state line. Wednesday, May 6, contracts will be1 let for application of oil-gravel to 41 miles of highway in Juab, Millard, Mil-lard, Beaver and Iron counties, to cost the state around $SO,000. |
