Lynndyl Lines The two ball games that were lined up to be played at Lynndyl and Delta for the 4th. and 5th. of July did not come of on account of the major portion of ball play ers going away to spend the glorious fourth with their friends and relatives. This was sure disapointing to the local base ball enthusiasts as they were looking forward to seeing a couple of good games. Our base ball manager must see that this kind of thing does not occur again. Simeon Walker of Oak City has been improving the looks of his Lynndyl property. He has just completed building a picket and wire fence around his lot. Mr. Walker will also add to the appearance ap-pearance of the place if he will now get busy and transport some of these fine shade trees to Lynndyl. If he will do this, there is no doubt but what his tenantl will look after same, and they will be better protected now the place is fenced. Doctor W. P. Murry is certainly certain-ly some entertainer, You can always hear some good music by going to the Drug Store where the doctor has a fine victorola, which he has just recently purchased pur-chased . Music lovers can very often be found sitting on the Drug Store porch in the . cool of the evening listening to Grand Opera. The Sevier River Land and Water Co., has again started on the water ditches in the streets, and have sent one or two streams down already. There are quite a number of residents who have gardens that would appreciate a regular flow of water down these ditches. Practically all of the interior work of the New Hotel is finished and soon we will have things going full blast. Mrs. Sudbury, wife of Manager Sudbury of the Excelsior Mercantile Mer-cantile Company, arrived in town the other day and will make her home here indefinitely. D. W. Scannel is still improving the looks of his place of business. He has made considerable improvements im-provements in his place, and is |
