Show LYNNDYL . . . Rachel Simpson Mrs. Effie Allen entertained the "500" Club Thursday evening at her home. A light lunch was served serv-ed to the following guests: Mrs. A-delia A-delia Coleman, Eunice Nielson, Kate Hayse, Mae Miller, Mrs. Joe Par-gis, Par-gis, Jennie Huddleston and Rachael Simpson. Cards were enjoyed, Rachael Ra-chael Simpson winning high prize. Mrs. Pargis low, and Mae Miller the cut. Mrs. Adelia Coleman was pleasantly pleas-antly surprised Thursday evening by a visit from M-S Johnnie Lee of Milford. Miss Georgie Dutson visited this weekend in Salt Lake City with her mother. Don Talbert returned to Willard after spending a few days visiting his old friends here; Cleon Sherr-iff, Sherr-iff, Dick Hayes, and Frances Allen , spent a day visiting Dan in Og-den Og-den and then returned to Salt Lake City. M-S Wayne Banks and son of Gallup, New Mexico, are visiting at the home of their parents, M-S Alma Al-ma Banks. Mrs. Thelma Clark received word that M-S Don James were the parents par-ents of a son born in Beaver May 7th. Mrs. Rachael Simpson and daughter dau-ghter Janeane spent a few days visiting her daughter Mrs. Louise Clark. Miss Neda Roper stopped over in Lynndyl and visited her aunt Mrs. Mart Sheriff. Miss Helen Anderson of Oak City spent the night with Miss Louise Wiley. Tom Campbell went to Milford Friday on business, returning Saturday. Sat-urday. Harry McCardle spent Sunday with his family, returning to Cal-iente Cal-iente Monday. The Mutual held their closing Mutual with a banquet. All the teachers and officers of the stake were present. About 56 attended the banquet. A very delicious hot dinner was served. Clead Nielson was master of ceremonies. cer-emonies. The teachers were called on to give comments, and special guests gave interesting talks. Dancing was enjoyed, for wdiich Lorin Kendalls orchestra played. Thursday night a Bond Queen rally will be held in Time Square. Buy bonds and support your favor-; favor-; ite for queen. A good time is prom- ised. M-S Vernon Gronning entertained entertain-ed the Pinochle Club Thursday evening. eve-ning. A delicious luncheon was served to the following guests. Reed and Orlean Larson, Roy and Thelma Clark, Curt and Lucille Johnson, Bob and Christeen Pen-dray, Pen-dray, Ruth and Jerry Nielson, Ed-die Ed-die and Iva Sorenson, Clyde and Maxinne Coleman. Roy Clark won high for men. Orlean high for ladies. la-dies. Betty Nielson entertained the sewing sew-ing club Thursday. Luncheon was served to the members. Mery Johnson spent the weekend in Fillmore and Oak City. M-S Roy Clark attended the memorial me-morial services Sunday for Sgt. Nathan Na-than Roundy at Oasis. Lynndyl school held an appropriate appro-priate V-E program and school was dismissed for a half holiday. |
