Show 61 PeMaaal 9nteielt Max M. Bishop recently returned by airplane from New York. He has been employed at Hill Field for 3 years, and this is the second trip east he has made. George N. Church was operated on in. Salt Lake City last Thursday Thurs-day in a minor operation. M-S John Peterson went to Salt Lake City last week to see their first new granddaughter. John returned re-turned immediately and Mrs. Peterson Peter-son remained in Salt Lake City for a week and returned on this past Sunday. Edward Reed Van Winkle and his friend, Phil Hansen, bo th of San Francisco, are visiting at the home of Reed's parents, M-S E. J. Van Winkle. Reed usually takes his yearly vacation here. Deola Christensen, wno is attending at-tending school at the BYU at Pro-vo, Pro-vo, spent the weekend with her parents and family. Mrs. Bernon Roberts spent the past ten days visiting parents and relatives at Springville and Delta. She returned to Camp Roberts where her husband is stationed on monday morning. F. L. Byron returned this week from a stay of seventeen days at his mine, on which he is working for development procedure. Mrs. Leroy Bills and Miss Helen Fullmer came down from Provo and spent Saturday and Sunday .-Avith friends. vV. Miss Ava Bishop who has been attending school in Cedar this winter, win-ter, came home Monday. She has been ill for some time, .and is now home to recuperate. Mrs. Francis Talbot is spending a few weeks in Nevada with her daughter, Mrs. John Ilesselguessed and family. Mrs. Leo Lyman is back from Salt Lake City where she has been in the hospital for a second operation. opera-tion. She is recovering slowly. George N. Church came home from Salt Lake City Tuesday. He was operated on last week and is home for a few days, when he will go back for a further check-up. Mrs. C. M. Larsen spent last week here visiting her spa Tharol Larsen and his family. Mrs. Leonard Vodak left Wed-neesday Wed-neesday for San Francisco where she will visit her sister, Virgina Killpack. She will then go to Seattle Se-attle where she will resume her work. Mr. and Mrs. William S. Bassett entertained Tuesday night in honor of William H. Bassett's 65th birthday. birth-day. Guests were the members of the family. H. B. Lake who will soon be 92 years of age, has been quite ill for the past few weeks. He has improved im-proved a little just lately. Sam Judd, who has been working work-ing at the ship yards in California for the past ten months, is visiting his mother, Mrs. Peter Gronning. He will leave soon for Salt Lake City where he will be married to Miss Betty Fullmer of Springville. They will be married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 9. Mrs. Richard Morrison entertained entertain-ed at a birthday party Saturday, May 5, for her little daughter Dorothy's Dor-othy's sixth birthday. Twenty-four children were invited and all seated seat-ed at a long table, beautifully decorated. dec-orated. Each child recc-vied a nice girt. Caroline Hannifin had a birthday party Saturday, May 5. Twelve little children were invited. Light refreshments and candy were served serv-ed during the afternoon. |
