Show Oasis . . . Laveda Bishop Miss Virgie Sjostrom is spending spend-ing her vacation in Oasis with her parents. She will leave Thursday, to return to her work in Sacramento, Sacra-mento, California. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dee Miere, from Los Angeles, spent last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Stansworth. Calvin Skeem and Leo Hollings-head, Hollings-head, spent Sunday in Zions Canyon. Can-yon. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Savage, of Salt Lake City, visited over the week end at the George Stansworth Stans-worth home. Miss Gloria Stewart and Miss Pearl Nichols spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Nichols. They were accompanied by Pearls friend. The three girls and Miss Lucille Cahoon returned to Salt Lake City Sunday evening, where they are employed. Mr. and Mrs. George Moody and daughter. Annie Bowline, from Los Angeles, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Max Moody, of Honolulu, visited with Mr. Moody's sister, Mrs. Re-gena Re-gena Hawley, last week end. Miss Mary Rae Featherstone of Lehi is spending a week with Miss Wilma Gillen at the Gillen home. Miss Featherstone is in training at the general hospital in Salt Lake City. The two girls were room mates when Wilma was training too. Young Wayne Tanner is spending spend-ing the summer with his uncle, George Stanworth. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Skeem are vacationing in Yellowstone park. The Oasis Relief Society ladies met last Tuesday and made a quilt for the bazaar they are planning in September. Mr. and Mrs. Peter H. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley deserve de-serve honorable mention for the effort ef-fort they have put forth in beautifying beauti-fying our town. Both homes have a new coat of paint and Peter has put in some nice cement walks a-round a-round his home. Kelly has a new lawn developing very nicely. There are quite a number of new . roofs around town, also. Med Hawley, Haw-ley, Ray Lovell, Cecil Cahoon, Peter Anderson, Norvel Christensen and Grant Peterson and Edwin Skeem have new ones. If I've missed any of those prety toppings, forgive me please, and I'll look around this next week and tell about them next time. Now for the paint brushes brush-es and elbow grease and we'll be on the map again. Mrs. Loren Safford, of Meadow, underwent a major operation in the hospital in Delta on Tuesday. |
