Show County Agent's Column Millard county dairymen will be interested in the new extension bulletin, "Housing for Quality Milk," according to Rodney G. Rickenbaeh, county agent. The bulletin, which has the approval ap-proval of the state department of agriculture and the state department depart-ment of health, was written by George B. Caine, professor of dairy husbandry at the Utah State Agricultural Agri-cultural college and Joseph Coul-am, Coul-am, extension agricultural engineer. engin-eer. Representatives of interested federal, state, county and city a-gencies a-gencies as well as field men of leading milk companies, co-ops, dairies and creameries cooperated fully in the writing of the bulletin county agent Rickenbaeh said. Indicated in the publication are f 11 plans, for barns, open sheds, milk houses, milk parlors, and complete dairy units. Latest findings in regard to dairy housing are also described in the bulletin. Requirements of satisfac- tory dairy buildings, systems of housing dairy cattle, types of milking milk-ing parlors, and many other subjects sub-jects are covered. This bulletin can be ohtained free of charge from the county agent Rickenbach's office. Mr. Rodney G. Rickenbaeh has been officially appointed as county agent of Millard county, to be stationed sta-tioned at Fillmore. Mr. Lewis Jensen Jen-sen has been apponted to take the job occuped by Mr. Rickenbaeh during the past year at Delta as assistant county agent. Both of these men sincerely hope that continued co-operation will be had with the people of Millard county in working out their prob-l prob-l lems as they arise. |
